🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Statewide Burn Ban

Washington State is currently under a mandatory statewide burn ban through September 30, 2026, due to extreme wildfire risks. Governor Bob Ferguson has added Benton County to the official wildfire emergency proclamation.

To protect our community and local resources, all residents and visitors must strictly follow these rules: 

• Strictly Prohibited Activities: All outdoor open burning is banned. This includes yard debris burning, trash or barrel burning, land clearing, weed abatement, and bonfires. Recreational campfires are banned unless they are fully contained within approved, permanent fire structures.
• Allowed Activities: Propane, liquid, or gas-fueled stoves and grills are permitted if operated over a completely non-flammable surface at least 5 feet away from dry vegetation.

Because local conditions change daily, you must check live county restrictions before any outdoor cooking or heating activity.
