2026 WA Tri-County Scholarship 

  1. Applicant must be a graduate (or will graduate in 2026) of an accredited high school and will be attending college in the fall of 2026.
  2. Applicant must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale or are currently in college and have a grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Applicant must be affiliated with a fire protection district that is a member of the Southeastern Washington Fire Commissioners Association. Affiliation includes all active members of any Fire District or their immediate family (spouse or children).
  4. Applicant must accept the scholarship by signing Southeastern Washington Fire Commissioners Association Award Letter and agree to the terms.

The amount of the scholarship award is $750.00.  It will be sent to the selected college or university of the recipient upon verified enrollment of full-time status.

Important dates to remember:

  • May 7  - Scholarship applications distributed to Fire Districts.
  • June 30  - Completed packet must be postmarked by this date.
  • July 28 - Notification to all applicants will be e-mailed advising of award or denial of award.
  • September 2026  - Payment will be made to the recipient’s college or university (on or after this date).
